ArtBo 2025 — “New York in Black and White”
A photographic essay on architecture, identity, and light
Exhibition Statement:
New York in Black and White is a visual meditation on rhythm, structure, and presence within the world’s most photographed city. This monochromatic series reveals the geometry, emotion, and human pulse of New York — stripped of color but rich in tone, shadow, and meaning.
Through contrasts of light and architecture, the series explores how the city becomes a living organism — constantly shifting between chaos and order, solitude and connection. From monumental towers to fleeting human gestures, each photograph becomes an architectural poem in grayscale.
The absence of color allows form and space to dominate, guiding the viewer through reflections, silhouettes, and patterns that speak to time, memory, and resilience. New York, in this series, becomes both muse and mirror — a portrait of modern existence and quiet power.
